The historic Amalfi, which was an independent republic in the Byzantine era, it is interesting to visit the Cathedral at the top of a staircase with the bronze doors of the church that came from Constantinople in 1066 and the Cloister of Paradise. Following the main road you reach the Valle dei Mulini, once the center of the high quality paper industry where you can visit the Paper Museum and some paper artisans.
The quiet town of Ravello located on a cliff on the Amalfi Coast and famous for its wonderful villas: Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone. Villa Rufolo is the place that inspired Wagner for his opera Parsifal and where the Ravello music festival takes place on its terrace every summer. Villa Cimbrone is a noble palace with an Arab-style cloister, magnificent gardens and a terrace with a unique landscape view called the “Terrace of the Infinite”.
Positano is the most picturesque and colorful town on the Amalfi Coast. Along the main street, going down to the Spiaggia Grande, boutiques, handmade sandals, ceramics up to the main beach of Positano with restaurants, bars, wine bars and cafes where you can sit and enjoy the view of the water.
Discover Sorrento walking through the alleys with handicraft and souvenir shops in historic center. Visit the historic and large church of Sant'Antonino, patron saint of the town, in the church the ex-votos, most of which donated by sailors who survived shipwrecks.
