While visiting the Venetian islands, you can take a break to experience Venetian cuisine which offers a great variety of fish and seafood from the lagoon (to be paid locally).

Murano is the Island of Artists and is the epicenter of the best glassmaking since 1291 when the Republic of Venice ordered glassmakers to transfer their foundries to Murano to avoid the risk of fire and destruction of the wooden houses in Venice.

You will have the opportunity to visit a real glass factory and witness the glass making process by which master glassmakers create art objects. During the demonstration the master glassmaker will reveal the secrets of this centuries-old tradition.

Time at leisure to visit the Glass Masters showroom where the beautiful glass objects exemplify the high quality of their artwork.

Passing by the old fishermen's market you will enjoy the breathtaking view of the lagoon and admire the local ladies who sew the lace according to a centuries-old lacemaking tradition.

Torcello is the northernmost island of the Venetian lagoon and immediately gives visitors an atmosphere of other times, one slowly immerses oneself in a landscape that seems to have remained from the ancient Middle Ages with a few colonial houses.

But your attention will be captured by the majestic architecture of the Basilica of Torcello with its priceless mosaics and by the charming Locanda Cipriani so loved by Hemingway and other celebrities.
