The Cinque Terre include the coastal area where the five famous and picturesque villages of the Ligurian Riviera are located, which from South to North are: Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza, Monterosso.
The area, which includes the coast, a Marine Protected area, and the hillside settlements, was designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1997 due to its unique characteristics.

Once at Cinque Terre you will meet your expert local guide for a tour that takes you in the various villages to appreciate the traditions, the natural beauty and the history of this beautiful and protected area where over the years the locals have built kilometers of dry stone walls on terraces for the cultivation of wine and where the five famous villages of fishermen are placed.

The five villages are: The southernmost settlement, Riomaggiore, is renowned for its 13th-century history, as well as for the wine that is made in the nearby vineyards. Manarola was most likely established during the Roman era thanks to its breathtaking views. Corniglia is situated on a hilltop with views and is accessible from the local train station by climbing around 400 stairs. Of the five villages, Vernazza is the only one with a natural harbor and a gorgeous sandy beach is in Monterosso.
