THE ORANGE GARDEN AT AVENTINO
The Aventine hill, one of the seven hills of ancient Rome.
At the top of the Aventine, within the medieval walls, there are the remains of the ancient fortress of the Savelli family with the Savello Park (also known as Giardino degli Aranci), a small rectangular garden.
From here you can enjoy a wonderful view of Rome that goes by the loop of the Tiber River to St. Peter's Basilica.
At the top of the Aventino hill, just after the Orange Grove the key hole in the gate of the Priorate of the Knights of Malta offers a magnificent furtive view straight on to St. Peter’s Basilica.
VITTORIANO TERRACE
From the Terrazza delle Quadrighe, on top of the Vittoriano complex, you can enjoy a spectacular landscape. Two panoramic elevators, opened on 2007, allow people to reach the highest point of the complex, from which it is possible admiring Rome at 360 °.
The view ranges from the magnificence of the Colosseum and Fori Imperiali to the churches of the old town, from the Tiber River to the Jewish Ghetto, from Piazza del Campidoglio on the Capitoline hill to the Quirinale and from the modern EUR district to the characteristic Castelli Romani.
